Meet April Elliott, Founder

I’ve been creative since I can remember. I’ve always created a reason to be creative; it’s freeing to my mind. I have a passion for turning what appears to be nothing into something!

Not long after I had my 3rd child, I had to get new clothes. But I have a certain style that I couldn’t find in stores because most things aren’t geared towards me. So I looked at my husband and said, “I’m going to make my clothes.” In disbelief, he laughed and said, “ok, babe.” I went to my local fabric store, bought a few yards of fabric, and sat in my living room with a needle and thread and began to sew. That day, my life changed. That day, I felt so free, like I unlocked a part of me that was suppressed. I look back on my first piece. In appreciation, it has sooo many flaws, but I did it. I put all of my creative love into that piece. 

I created a new piece every week. And it picked up traction by accident. I never did this to make for other people, which I enjoy btw. I wanted to create to free myself, which in turn ended up freeing others.
